Description
Antica casa "le rondini" is a very small country Bed & Breakfast in Colle di Buggiano, an utterly charming tiny medieval village of stone streets and buildings in the multi-castle hills above Montecatini Terme, between Florence and Lucca.
The Bed & Breakfast is in a 500 - year- old stone house that has been lovingly restored by an architect and his teacher wife. The rooms are spacious, with modern private baths, charming antique furniture, and incredible views of the town and scenic countryside. There are 200 - year - old decorative wall frescos, discovered during renovation and amazingly restored by painstaking removal of overpainting. Rooms have a feeling of 18° century country elegance. Breakfast is served in a beautiful walled garden, weather permitting, or in the owners' fabulous restored period kitchen. This place is quite special.

| How to reach it Follow immediately signs to Pescia and Lucca. Pass through 1 traffic lights. At the 2th. turn left. After the 3th. light keep going (about 1 km.) until the Tamoil gasoline station appears on the left and a sign Borgo a Buggiano on the right, turn right. Follow sign Colle. Go up hill, to parking area out of the village.The street's name is Via Pierucci nr 21. (Call us at 0572 33313 if you have portable phone). |
